After passionate surfer James Casey-Brown had to save someone from drowning at Bilgola Beach, he decided to develop a product to reduce drowning-related deaths. Surf Safe uses a CO2 cylinder to inflate a buoyant ring under the user’s arms which is stored in a pouch around the waist. It has a compact design to reduce the stigma of wearing water safety devices at beaches.
